High Atlas and Berber villages trek 6 days trek
First, the high atlas and berber villages trek is a nice trip to workout and to see the Berber culture. Also, The High Atlas is a region in Morocco covering the mountain range and surrounding destinations such as Marrakech. It’s a regular destination for mountain hikers, ski enthusiasts, or travellers interested in the indigenous Berber culture found throughout its many peaks and valleys.
Day 1: Marrakech – Imi Oughlad – Tacht Pass (1950m) – Ait Aissa
After breakfast we start from Marrakech at 9:00 am, crossing the El Haouz plains, and a small Berber villages along the way to Imi Oughlad (1400m). Meeting our team (guide, muleteers, mules). we pack our staf on the mules. And have mint tea on the little café shop in the area.
Our walk starts with an amazing view on the bereber villages, and we cross the oak and juniper forest. Easy path will take us towards the pass of Tizi N Tacht 1950m. ), we have lunch in the pass. After a short descent, we will reach the village of Tahliwin, and an overview on Azzaden Valley (Colors Valley), meeting local people and get some info about the cultur and the life style in Azzaden valley, the night at the Lodge. 6Hours walk
Day 2: Ait Aissa (1700m) – Tisi Oussem (1800m) – Water-falls (2500m) – Aazib Tamsoulte( 2400m)
After the breakfast in the roof-terrace we begin our new adeventure to follow the trail to Tizi Oussem the highest village in Azzaden valley, nice views on the valley, break there, and an option to visit a berber house and have a mint tea with a local family. Then, we reach the Tamsoult sheepfold, and the summer groves of the local people. Keep climbing to the waterfall 2500m, get the lunch there, after lunch have snooze in the sun under the spray of the waterfall, we will continue to descent the same path back to Tamsoult, Overnight in a local lodge

Day 3: Tizi Oussem – Mzik Pass (2450m) – Imlil (1740m)
We follow the trail at the foot of the Toubkal summit, with several views of the valleys, and the Atlas mountains range, after 2 hrs walking we reach to the pass of Tizi Mzik (2450m), having lunch on the pass with an amazing view on imlil valley. we descend towards Imlil (1740m)town, it’s in a green valley, in the afternoon we will have a walk around the villages in the valley. then back to the guest house in the center of Imlil.

Day 4: Imlil – Tamatert Pass (2300m) – Tinghrine 1600m – Tachedirte (2400m)
Today we fallow a paved road alternated by narrow path (sometimes in the shade of walnut trees and Aleppo pines). Also, we will reach Tizi n’Tamatert (2200m) with superb views of the Imnane valley.
Lunch in the pass, start over our hike, to the bottom of imnane valley, Tineghrine 1600m and Ikiss, Tamguest , then, walk up over the top of the valley, and spend the night in Tachdirte (2420m) village.6 hours walking
Day 5:Tachdirte (2400m) – Tizi N’ Addi (2900m) – Oukaimeden – Oussartek
We follow the path that leads to the pass Tizi N’Addi (2900m) with a panoramic views on the villages and the high Atlas mountains range. Stop for Lunch near a spring. Then a chance to visit the rock carvings of Oukaimeden. Down a path lined with juniper trees towards the valley of Ossertek. 5,30 hours of walking, overnight in a homestay
Day 6: Oussertek – Imsker – Imi Oughlad – Asni – Marrakech
Down in the morning passing by the village of Imsker in Imenane Valley. El Bour neck will lead us along a mule trail in a juniper forest to Imi Oughlad (1400m). Lunch by the river
4,30 hours of walking and 1h30 drive to Marrakech
