The Exotic Tour of Morocco 15 days
Day 1: Marrakech- Asni- Imioughlad (1550m) – Tacht Pass (2100m) – Tiziane (1750m)
Departure to 8Hen vehicle for the mountains of the western high atlas of Toubkal by the small mountain town Asni before arriving at the village Imi n’Oughlad where we meet our team of muleteers, start hiking by a first climb that will lead us to the pass from Tacht (2000m). A stop allows to appreciate a superb sight on the village. We go down to a source for lunch. Then we descend to reach the village of Tiziane located in a valley with multiple colors of land. Overnight at the homestay.1h30 drive. 5 hours of walking.
At 8 am departure to the village of Imi n’oughlad, start of the hike. Night at the homestay. Positive difference in altitude: 550m, Negative altitude difference: 350m 1h 30 drive. 5 hours of walking.
Day 2: Tiziane (1750m) – Col Ikis(2400m) – The valley of Tkent (1950m)
We leave the village of Tiziane. We begin to climb in the shade of gigantic walnut trees, then the sun will come to heat us before the arrival at the neck. It is always better to purify the water taken at the sources or in the rivers before drinking it, because it is likely to disturb the digestive system unaccustomed to spring water. We cross a thuriferous juniper forest before reaching the Teouti -2400m pass. Descent to Assaka where we have lunch. Then we continue to Tizgui, an exceptional village with its hydraulic mills and beautiful architecture. Night at the homestay 5:30 walk.
Beginning of the hike at 8:30 am. Positive elevation gain: 650m, Negative altitude difference: 450m. 5 hours of walking. Night at the homestay.
Day 3: Tkent (1950m) – Tougdalt Pass (2700m) – Tizi Oussem (1950m)
The departure is around 8H by a ravine at the foot of a summit of more than 3,600 meters above sea level. 1h30 climb by an easy path. Here is the domain of shepherds, we meet herds and shepherds Berbers. From the Tougdalt pass, there is a panoramic view of the surrounding peaks. Long descent by a juniper forest thuriferous. Lunch in the shade of gigantic century-old walnut trees along the Azaden River. We are in the most beautiful valley of Toubkal – scenery to appreciate while having lunch and recovering the strength after the fatigue of a walking language. In the afternoon, we continue to the village Tizi Oussem (1950m). Night homestay, 5:30 walk.
Positive difference in altitude: 750m, Negative altitude difference: 750m. 5 hours of walking. Night at the homestay.
Day 4: Tizi Oussem (1950m) – Tamsoult Waterfalls (2550 m) – Aguelzim Pass (3500 m)
After breakfast, our destination will be the pastors and waterfalls of Tamsoult , the highest pastor in the valley, overlooking beautiful sheepfolds and Tamsoulte waterfalls at 2400m altitude. While enjoying a marvelous view of nature we will enjoy the break to take our lunch (Berber salad with sardines or tuna or mackerel in box, orange, always followed by mint tea),then we climb to Tizi n’Aguelzim, very steep climb arrived to the top at 3500m, a break enjoyin the views of the Atlas Mountains, not to mention a good nap in the sun, listening to the birds songs . Finally, arrive to Toubkal Refuge by the goat’s path. Overnight at the Refuge. 9 hours walk.
Day 5: Refuge of Toubkal (3200m) – Ouankrime Summit (4167m) – Refuge Toubkal
Today we walk up the valley towards the peak of Ouanoukrim. The mountain is Toubkal’s neighbour and the second highest peak in the Atlas Mountains. First we climb the remainder of the Isougouane valley, perhaps up to the narrow but impressive col of Tizi n’Ouagane, with views out and down to the next valley. Weather may dictate that we try to climb Toubkal itself on this day but the preference will be to spend this day acclimatising to around 4000m and sleeping back at the refuge for a second night.

Day 6: Toubkal Refuge 3207m – Toubkal peak 4167m – Chamharouch 2500m – Imlil 1800m
Very early in the morning, with the headlamp, we will begin our climb to the roof of North Africa (4167m) A climb without special technical difficulty that requires just a good ability to walk and altitude. At the top, a beautiful view of the Anti Atlas and the plain of Haouz, weather permitting.
Descent to the Neltner refuge at 3200m where we meet our muleteers. Installation at the Hut for Lunch. After lunch we will walk down to Imlil Valley for the night.

Day 7: Imlil Valley,
Discover and walk around the valley and try to climb a special summit called Assaouel 2700m amazing views over Ait Maizan Valley and the High Atlas Range.

Day 8: Imlil Valley – Tizi n’Tichka – Dades:
Next! Today we drive towards the Moroccan desert. First over the spectacular pass, passing through many Berber villages.Than riverside oases and barren hillsides clustered with kasbahs. After lunch, we drive to the Roses Valley, with beautiful views of the Dades valley. Also one thousand Kasbahs is The nickname of the region.
Overnight in Dades.
This will be very good day for the photography, a lot of colors different life style.
Day 9: Dades – Todra Gorges – Erg Chebbi dunes:
After breakfast, we drive to Todra Gorge, and after a short stop, drive on to ‘Auberge Palais du Dunes’ at the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Once you arrive the hotel you will have some mint tea and you can get prepared for overnight at the camp in the middle of the Sahara. You drive with your camel to the camp where the cook is preparing your dinner. After dinner you will have an amazing time, there is music and you can see the sky filled with stars. We will bring a Fennec Fox for you to see and take photos.
Day 10: Merzouga – Erfoud – Errachidia – Azrou – Ifran – Fez
Wake up in the morning to watch the sunrise over the dunes and return by camel to the hotel for breakfast. Your trip leaves to Fez by several cities: Erfoud, Errachidia, Midelt, Azrou and Ifran (cedar forest) where you will stop to make beautiful pictures and take good walks with you, and look after the Barbary Macaque Monkeys. Late arrival to Fes

After lunch, you’ll visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the new city “La ville nouvelle” for a drink.
Day12: Fez – Middle Atlas – Ouzoud Waterfalls – Marrakech
Drive back to Marrakech crossing the Middle Atlas or the Switzland of Morocco, We will stop for you in one of the Highest waterfalls around the world.
Day 13: Marrakech
This day is for the exploration of Marrakech. First you will start with the famous and the UNESCO heritage site of Jamma Lfna,Alkotoubia mosque. Then walk to visit the oldest places in the city,the bahia and baddi palaces. Also you will visit an old medrassa called Iben yossef. Marrakech also is know with its tradtional souks, that look like a web.lunch in a local resturant .After lunch you will see the botanical garden, the majorelle garden. And after that it will be a free time for you to wander by yourself. Over night in the same riad
Day14: Day Trip to Essaouira
The coastal city Essaouira or the windy city, offers many opportunities for discovery and meets all your cultural, artistic and sports desires. Departing from Marrakech, enjoy an unforgettable two and a half hour journey through argon cultures and breathtaking arid landscapes. You will come across families of goats perched on the argan trees. On arrival, you will have the opportunity to visit a women’s cooperative producing argan oil. Then, go to discover the fishing port of Essaouira. Cross the medina eve with its souks and its traditional market. You will discover authentic art galleries and carpentry workshops, cedar inlay and basketwork art. Explore, similarly, the ramparts and gates of Essaouira, as well as its Borj and military buildings including La sqala kasbah and sqala port: the two main fortifications of the city. For fans of windsurfing or the Surf Kit, the climatic particularity of Essaouira and its geographical position have made it a strong point to practice these two sports.
Do not miss, especially, admire a tajine Souiri or a superb fish dish (specialty of Essaouira) in a restaurant by the sea, before returning to Marrakech.
