Trekking in central high atlas – Ait Bougmez Valley

Day 01: Arrival in Marrakech.

Welcome by our team at the airport, transfer to your Riad.

Type of accommodation: Riad

 Day 02: Marrakech – the valley of Ait Bougmez.

The road enters the Atlas Mountains … After crossing the Aghoubar pass at 2200 m; we will reach the village of Tighza, where our trek starts. An hour walks to join our guesthouse in the village of Arouss.

Accommodation type: Guest house

1hr Trek ;  5 hrs drive

Day 03: Arous – Azib  Ikis  – Arous   .

We will go up the valley of Arous in direction of the azibs (sheepfolds) of Ikis, we will pass by the troglodyte houses. Visit the small gorges of Ikis n’Arous and its waterfalls, the afternoon return to the same cottage in Arouss.

5hrs Trek

Day 04: Arous – Aguerdnouzrou – Ait Imi.

During this day, we will discover the valley of Ait Bougmez … a myriad of villages with traditional architecture and fields lined with apple trees … lunch at Aguerdnouzrou with the family of Youssef before reaching our cottage in the village of Ait Imi.

6hrs Trek

Day 05: Ait Bougmez valley – Marrakech.

We leave the happy valley of Ait Bougmez by taking the road by minibus to Azilal then Marrakech. Lunch will be on the way in Ouzzoud waterfalls.  Afternoon free to enjoy the walk in the souks.

2hrs Trek; 5hrs transfer

Day 06: Back Home

Transfer to the airport and return flight.

The Accommodation will be in a comfortable Guesthouse in the Atlas Mountains and in Riads or Hotels in Marrakech

Meals on the trek are cooked by the Cook chef during the trek.
